Ask the Right Questions

Most of our clients have never hired a disc jockey service before. Because it is there first time hiring a DJ, they are not really sure how to find a professional DJ or what to look for.

Here are some questions to consider when hiring a DJ service:

Do You Provide A Written Agreement?
It is very important to confirm your booking in writing. Terms should be clearly defined to avoid future problems.

Are You Insured?
Be confident that the DJ you hire will show up for your affair! Insurance will give security & protection to you and your guests, as well as the DJ and his expensive gear!

Do You Have Backup Equipment and DJs?
Even professional audio equipment can fail on occasion; don’t let this put an early end to your affair. Make sure there is backup equipment and be sure there is a back-up DJ should an emergency or case of illness occurs.

Is Your Equipment of Professional Quality?
There is a difference between home audio and professional road-worthy equipment. The equipment a DJ uses should be built to go on the road each and every day!

Will You Listen To My Music Suggestions?
Many DJ’s are of the opinion that they know what music is best for their audience and won’t take requests. The DJ should listen to requests and play them whenever appropriate.

Will You Dress Appropriately at My Affair?
It is important that your entertainer look the part by dressing formal or semi-formal, according to your preference. Themed events and picnics require different attire.

Will You Play The Music At An Appropriate Level?
The biggest concern voiced by prospective clients is the volume level of the music. A professional DJ knows to keep the volume at a level appropriate for the guests, especially during cocktails and the dinner hour.

Do You Do More Than Just Play Music at the Affair?
Most affairs involve more than playing music. It is important to have a DJ who is capable of playing the music, handling all of the announcements and helps to coordinate the affair.

It is important to find a Disc Jockey service that answers “Yes” to the above questions.

Choosing Your Wedding Dress - Budget Versus Style

When you walk down the aisle, you become the focus of the wedding and you will draw the attention of all the guests. Certainly you would like to be the most perfect bride when your guests are looking at you. You will try to find the best make up and hair stylist. The wedding shoe will also be extremely important. For your wedding dress, you should also choose it with care so that your guests will not be disappointed.

When you are choosing the wedding gown, the first thing you need to consider is of course the budget. Unless you can borrow a dress from your friend or relative which totally fits you (which means that you do not need to make any alteration to the dress), you will certainly have to spend some money. In fact, the price range of a wedding dress can vary a lot. You can find gowns at about a few hundred US dollars. You can also find that some gowns may cost a few thousands. You budget should be set by considering how much you are willing to pay and how much you are able to pay.

It is very normal that you would like to be the most beautiful bride in the world and you would also like to buy a perfect wedding dress. However, it may be something you find unaffordable. You have to be realistic in such cases. It is sure that you will only be disappointed and unhappy if you can only “dream” of the perfect gown. As a famous Chinese saying, you will always feel happy if you can admire and appreciate what you have on your hand. It is also true for your wedding dress. It is better not to think of something financially unattainable.

After you have settled the number one issue, which is the budget, you can start defining the style of the dress you like. There are tons of different styles you can choose from. For the material, you have silk, lace and so one. A long dress is also different from a short one. You may even consider a gorgeous vintage bridal gown if you like.

You will need to research on the different styles before you make your final decision. You can do your research on the internet and bridal magazines. You should keep the images of bridal dresses in a folder for your future reference. It will be even better if you can make all these images digital so that it can be easily sent to your friends and relatives. In this way you can also ask for their opinions without any difficulties.

When you are choosing your wedding dress style, what you basically need to consider is your body shape. A gown can look good on a fitting model but it may not look as good when you put it on. You should try to understand the strength and weakness of your body and you will not find it hard to find the most suitable style for you.

Besides, the type of wedding will also affect the style you choose. You will not choose a formal gown if you are going to have a beach theme wedding. You may even choose a totally informal gown in this case of outdoor wedding. On the contrary, you may want to choose something more formal if you are going to have a church wedding.
